FODE BANGOURA TRIP TO GUINEA December 22, 2013 - January 19, 2014 Journey with us to beautiful Guinea West Africa. Experience the rich culture of Guinea through drum and dance. A trip of a lifetime that will stay with you always. Since 2006 Fode has successfully brought students to his home town of Conakry to study drum and dance in it's natural environment. Students have the unique opportunity to study with members of "Les Ballets Africains" the national ballet of Guinea, as well as observe their rehearsals and performances. Outside of classes students will attend local Doundounbas (drum and dance circles), shop at local markets, experience the night life of Conakry, have instruments hand made and most of all connect with the people of Guinea. Pricing includes: Room and Board, 3 meals a day of delicious African food (Rice, chicken, fish, vegetables, fresh fruit), Dance and drum classes and transportation to workshop related events. Sundays - No class, time to rest connect with the people, have a private lesson, go to the beach or the pool, get your hair braided, have clothes tailor made... the choices are endless. WHAT YOU WILL NEED: Roundtrip ticket to Conakry, Guinea.
