West African Dance with Whitney

Thursdays 5:30 - 6:30pm

$15/class all classes are drop-in






Join Whitney as she teaches traditional dances from Guinea West Africa. Class is open to all dance levels from first timers to experienced dancers. After a short warm up dance steps will be broken down then set to live drumming lead by Master Drummer Fode Bangoura. Wear comfortable clothing and bring a water bottle. Hope to see you on the dance floor!

Join Alhassane "Sana" Bangoura from Guinea, West Africa for his Saturday dance class. Sana is a gentle, patient and experienced teacher who breaks down the music and movements so that dancers of all experience levels can participate in this dynamic dance form. Sana shares the name, purpose and ethnic group of each dance. All classes are accompanied by live drumming by Sana's talented brother, nephew and friends. The Bangoura Family is eager to share its rich culture with you!
